Thank You for showing interest in our GoKarts. These are the most rugged and maintenance-free GoKarts on the market. Some of the features of our GoKarts may not stand out when comparing differences because those pretty bodies (when new) hide most of these important differences. The following features apply to our GoKarts.

BRAKES--
| |
| |
Our standard GoKarts have twin 6" internal expanding shoe-and-drum type brakes. Replaceable shoes rarely need replacing. A unique bias bar design always insures that equal pressure is applied to each side without adjustment. The Kiddie Kart uses a single 6" brake. The high performance models use a single hydraulic disc brake with a twin-piston caliper.

BUMPERS--
We use a two-piece "wrap around" perimeter design. The material is heat-treated .360"x3" or .323"x4" (depending on the model) spring steel. Tires can be changed without removing the bumper.

BUSHINGS & BEARINGS--
Replaceable bronze bushings are used on pedals, steering shafts, and throttle and brake bellcranks. No part of the basic chassis is used as a bearing surface, which can wear out. Tapered roller bearings are used on all front and rear wheel hubs except on the rear of the high performance karts. Live axles with 1 ¼" heavy-duty ball bearings are used on these karts.

COATINGS & PLATING--
The chassis, bumpers and selected parts are electrostatically powder coated with a special polyester powder and then cured in an oven at 425 degrees F. All other fabricated components are bright zinc plated.

DRIVE--
| |
| |
A synchronous belt drive (cog belt), 36 mm wide, is used with a precision machined and hard-coat anodized aluminum lower sprocket and steel upper sprocket. The Kiddie Kart is the only exception and it uses a standard aluminum lower sprocket and a HTD Belt. This type of belt drive is the only drive we have ever used. Two or three years of usage of an original belt is not uncommon. V-Belts slip and chains require constant attention and both require constant tightening.

FRAME--
Nearly all of the material used in the frame is.120" wall steel tubing, MIG welded in a jig. The frame incorporates upper and lower frame rails for rigidity, which virtually eliminates frame flexing and breakage. The bottom frame rail is lower than the center of the wheels creating a very low center of gravity that helps prevent tipping.

HUBS--

These hubs are massive aluminum, precision machined on a computer lathe to ensure true-running wheels, sprocket and brakes.

LINKAGES--

| |

Steel linkages are used throughout with either rod ends or clevises. There are no cables to break or wear out.

QUALITY--

You will not find any higher quality or better workmanship on a concession GoKart. This trait is something that appears to be diminishing in our society today and we are here to try and preserve it. We call it pride. Our GoKarts are MADE IN AMERICA.

STEERING--

"U"-Joint and yoke design is used which gives years of service without becoming sloppy. Grease zerks provide an easy way of lubricating the needle bearings. 3/8" rod ends are used on each end of the tie rods.

TIRES--
12 x 4 x 5 premium slick tires are used as standard equipment on the family karts. They have a cap of about 5/8" of rubber, which will outlast a standard slick many times over. Various extra wide racing slicks are used on the high performance karts.

WHEELS--
5" three-hole heavy duty (9 ga., 3/8" dia. studs) steel wheels are used all around on the family karts. On the high performance models we use extra thick (.190") aluminum one-piece wheels.
